This week was a very hard week. First I went through a panic attack and then all of my intense daily anxiety came back. It has been an overly stressful period of time in my life so I am sure that the anxiety and panic attack are a result of that. Last night my heart was racing and my legs felt super achy. I was so uncomfortable. So I took my meds and finally fell asleep. I try not to take my as-needed meds unless it's dire but this week I had to give in and take them more than I normally would. My doctor told me that I take well under the amount than most patients but I think that I need to give my body a break and help it when it's needed. That's what I struggle with the most; the balance between giving my body a break when it's struggling through anxiety by taking the meds and not wanting to take them because I want to go the natural route. Unfortunately in times of panic nothing natural is able to help me like my meds. I'm hoping this all passes soon.

hey millie, sorry to hear that its been such a hard week for you and that you had a panic attack. ugh. i can understand how you're feeling bc anytime my panic comes on it comes out of nowhere and it's unsettling. and when i go through a stressful and anxiety ridden time my body pays the price with aches. i never understood the aches and pains before but now i do when they come on. maybe for now help yourself by taking your meds until you get over this hump. i'd go with whatever your doctor recommends. once this has all calmed down you can look at other alternatives.

millie I'm sorry that you're having a hard time with your anxiety and panic attacks. i know that feeling and it's not a good place to be in but there's always a light at the end of the tunnel. you've gotten through these periods before and you'll get through this one. its been a while since you've had a panic attack so i'm sure this one was more impactful. during this period really try to take good care of yourself and take time for yourself. try to take relaxing baths, if you're into that, and do other things that relax you. This way your body can recuperate from this heightened anxiety and it will help subside it.

I understand that feeling Millie. It's hard to find that balance. I never wanted to be on meds and only wanted to take the natural route until I realized how much harm I was doing to my body by not taking the meds. Panic attacks would wear me out completely, I landed in emergency numerous times because I couldn't stop shaking uncontrollably and other times felt like I was having a heart attack. It was so scary so that's where I drew the line. I was never a fan of taking prescription meds until I saw how much they helped me and precluded panic attacks so that's when I started believing more in them. I still have hope that I won't need them in the future but for now I am grateful for them.
