i've been hearing more about how much meditation helps anxiety but i can't bring myself to do it bc my mind is always racing so much. i read about how people sit still and are able to control their thoughts and clear their minds of racing thoughts and i can't get there. i just don't know how to slow my thoughts and mind down enough to meditate, nothing seems to work.

Hi Bali Bae, I understand how difficult and intimidating meditation can seem when you have a racing mind. It took a while for me to slow my mind down. I always do a guided meditation because I cannot do a meditation where you have to completely quiet your mind. Guided meditations with deep breathing remind you to focus on your breath, because once your mind wanders then you focus back on your breath and you don't think about anything else.

yeah this is a tough one for me too but the guided med seems like the way to go when you can't slow your thoughts. will give it a go at some point for sure.
